This hugely talented, yet modest, chef operates an absolutely superb kitchen at this very attractive and spacious restaurant on the Surrey/London border. He won the prestigious Roux Scholarship a few years back and his food illustrates the creativity and technical dexterity of a top end chef. Each course was a surprise in a good way and so different. Star of an amazing show was the charred bream, served in the most unctuous sauce with a real Asian twist. Front of house was impeccable: thoughtful, attentive, friendly. Could not fault the team at all. Everything you would want from a truly fabulous dinner.

Birthday meal out with my wife. 4 course menu, delicious. Interesting choices for all courses and each delivered wonderful flavours. Stand out dish ...pea soup! Lovely relaxed atmosphere, caring staff and so helpful with a lactose intolerant diet, offering options and a great meal.

A super find when we searched for a gastrobar between Roedean & London. Food was excellent, and the service was superb. I appreciated how they tried their best to nudge things along as we had expressed concern over our schedule when we made the reservation. Loved the local garden inclusions in the menu. I would absolutely recommend this space and look forward to returning one day!

An incredible meal and evening. I've often avoided Michelin starred restaurants due to finding them a little pretentious or impersonal. Not the Dysart. A wonderfully intimate and homely meal with top notch service and reasonable prices too. Better yet, it's a family owned labour of love and that clearly shows. Thank you.

Delicious, beautifully presented food in elegant surroundings with exemplary service. Every dish was well executed with some delightful flavour combinations (we have now tried both the tasting menu and a la carte). It was also great to have good alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktail options along with well selected coffee offerings.

Located in a standard loan Tudor facade with ample parking behind and two parking to the side. Interior of modern with Tudor frilled windows , stone floors, carpets, woooden table and rattan chairs with cushions- Could be made more comfortable with back cushions. Nice light in summer- not too warm. Amouse of Parmesan shortbread with grapefruit was rather sweet- it could have been an petit four. The bread was good- focaccia with a toasted crispy top. Very nice The charred bream was average with a nice miso and kaffir consomme, that was very nice. The ox tail risotto was shredded meat in a 7 year old rice - the meat was nice, rich with a blend risotto so it worked well as a mix. The mains for Cornish turbot was excellent- nice fresh with an amazing shellfish broth that tasted almost like lobster bisque. The farm duck dish was rather average - the meat was average. Didn’t find much excitement of flavour to it. The desert of rhubarb with strawberry and hibiscus was very nice . The sesame seed tuile was too intense and clashed with the fruits. The chocolate fave was excellent. Service was very attentive. 4/5 for the food and 5/5 for the ambience and service.
